Claire is married to Ingemar and co-owns Cressey's Surf Academy with him, as well as taking on board responsibility for all press and marketing for the surf school. Claire also developed and maintains the Cressey Surf Academy website under the name Cart Creative.

Born and raised in South West Wales, Claire has held a love of the ocean for many years, although her interest in surfing deepened when she met Ingemar! Having previously worked in press and marketing, Claire currently works full time as a Community Arts Worker, supporting the development of Cressey's Surf Academy in her spare time. Her creativity and vast experience across children's, youth and community work has proved an asset to the surf school.

Amongst other art forms, Claire also dabbles in photography, and is responsible for most of the photos on the website, as well as Ingemar's personal surf photography and footage. When available Claire is happy to shoot surf sessions and provide surfers with a lasting visual memory of their lesson. For any Press or Marketing queries please contact Claire via the website.

As Cressey's Surf Academy is a family business we are also supported by our young son, Elijah - just 1 year old!

As well as watching Zingzillas and loving all things musical and water related, Elijah has started surfing with Daddy before he can walk (see photo left) - a proper water baby! He has also been helping out the Surf Coaches with washing out the wetsuits and rash vests after a session, and loves hanging out at the beach with all the team.
